Rebecca Cofod '89
US Group Training Solutions Manager, Matrix Fitness Systems After graduating UNH in 1989, Rebecca took a position in a Marketing Development Program at Digital Equipment Corporation and followed that with a Marketing management position. After 5 years, she started her own company, Horizon Consulting, where she worked with many high tech companies to help them excel in their marketing and sales efforts – specifically around new product launches. In 2005 she decided to transition out of tech and follow her passion for fitness. To make fitness her career, she sought out a position in the fitness industry where she could use her marketing and sales skills and experience towards something she truly cared about – the health and wellness of our population. Since then she has worked in business development roles at 2 major fitness brands, Les Mills and Matrix Fitness. With a Masters Degree in Business and Marketing, Rebecca has worked with hundreds of health and fitness organizations to help them see value using programs, systems, and products to engage with their members with a clear focus on motivating consistency of participation. The measurable outcome of this engagement is increased revenue from acquisition, retention, and referrals. Rebecca also serves on the Board of Directors for the Women in Fitness Association – an association that helps grow women leaders in a heavily male dominated industry through education, networking, and mentorship. Rebecca spends summers in New England and winters in Florida. When she isn’t working or working out, you’ll find her engaged in some outdoor activity with her partner Mike and their dog Dozer.
